Nadir Sönmez, SAHA Studio desteğiyle ürettiği video performans projesinde kendisini İstanbul Queer Museum’da sergisi açılacak bir sanatçı olarak hayal ediyor. Cinsel hayatını antropolojik bir çalışmanın sahası gibi konumlandıran sanatçı, performans sanatının bedenle kurduğu şiddetli ilişkiyi mizahi bir teatrallikle eleştiriyor. Sönmez, yaşadığı yerle kurduğu ilişkinin turistik yönlerine değinerek Avcılar sahilini ve Lübliyana, Venedik, Viyana ve Budapeşte seyahatlerini kayda alıyor. Videolara eşlik eden metinler, otuzlarının ortasındaki bekar gay bir erkeğin iç sesinden yalnızlık, kariyer ve cinsellik gibi evrensel temaları yorumluyor. Videolar basın açılışı formundaki kurgusal bir tartışma alanının içinde sunularak seyir deneyimi boyutlandırılıyor.

Nadir Sönmez imagines himself as an artist whose exhibition will open at the Istanbul Queer Museum, in a video performance project produced with the support of SAHA Studio. Positioning his sexual life as the field of an anthropological study, the artist criticizes the violent relationship performance art establishes with the body through humorous theatricality. Sönmez records the touristic aspects of his relationship with where he lives, filming Avcılar beach and his travels to Ljubljana, Venice, Vienna, and Budapest. The texts accompanying the videos interpret universal themes such as loneliness, career, and sexuality from the inner voice of a single gay man in his mid-thirties. The videos are presented within a fictional discussion area in the form of a press opening, thus dimensioning the viewing experience.
