The exhibition “Pontos” brings forth a new dimension to Proehl's reflection and producing on soil -the main subject of his art. Here, the artist presents pictural impression of the ground 'under the sea'. Most of these works, which give the impression that we are looking sometimes under the sea, sometimes at Mars or another unfamiliar planet, and sometimes at an indefinite space between the earth and the sea, consist of photographs taken with a camera obscura.
Taken using a simple cardboard box with a pinhole instead of a lens and an analog film inside, these photos point to the end of time as well as the beginning. DAHA AZ GÖSTER
