Silvia Pezzarossi is an Italian contemporary dancer, performer, and choreographer based in Belgium. Trained in ballet at the Cosi & Stefanescu Academy in Italy and in contemporary dance at Modem/Cie Zappalà Danza (Italy) and Ballet Junior de Genève (Switzerland), she moved to Brussels at the age of 22. There, she began collaborating with both local and international artists in the fields of dance and circus, including Keren Rosenberg, Roy Assaf, Lies Serdons, Poetic Punkers collective, Cie Marie Martinez, Lisbeth Gruwez, Dorian Chavez, Krama Dance Company, and Cie des Chaussons Rouges (creation 2024).

Since 2013, Silvia has been developing her own choreographic work, marked by a strong interest in human behavior and social dynamics. Her early works include Mucyclo (2014), Waiting for the Fishes (2016), and En attendant que les poissons passent... (2018). In 2024, she premiered Habemus Naufragium, a duet with French dancer Anna-Maria Besnier Bayon, supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles — a key milestone affirming her voice as an emerging choreographer. She is currently developing a new group piece planned for 2027.

Alongside her creative projects, Silvia has been cultivating a pedagogical practice rooted in improvisation and sensory research. Since 2016, she has led DIVE workshops — a movement practice inspired by the principles of Gaga body language — in Belgium and abroad. She regularly teaches at institutions and festivals such as Charleroi Danse, UP Circus & Performing Arts, Grand Studio/Cie Nyash, Hybrid Studio/Cie Bud Blumenthal, Istanbul Fringe Festival (Turkey), Dance Days Chania Festival, and Kinitira (Greece). She also works as a choreographic coach for various artists and collectives across Europe.
