Led by dancers from Ariel Rivka Dance, this open-level technique and repertory class provides a welcoming space for the group and the opportunity for individual coaching. Rooted in ARD’s signature approach—blending contemporary dance techniques with emotionally driven exploration, the company’s style blends both classical ballet and modern elements in a fluid, athletic, and technically challenging form. The ARD workshops begin with a rhythmic warm-up that connects the mind and body. Participants then learn excerpts from ARD repertory alongside the choreographer and full company, inviting participants into the artistic process. The goal of these classes is to create a safe environment for professionals to deepen their social and emotional selves while also focusing on their artistry and technique. Designed to foster artistic growth, emotional awareness, and community connection through movement, this workshop offers participants a transformative experience that integrates physical practice with self-expression. For “normal” people who want to move with us we offer a class called “motional literacy“. Motional Literacy, ARD’s Educational Programming, extends the company’s artistic practice into communities.On stage, ARD explores vulnerability, acceptance, and connection through performance. In Motional Literacy settings, participants experience those same values in their own bodies through accessible movement-based tools that build emotional awareness, self-expression, confidence, and belonging. Overall, ML is core to ARD’s strength of building community through movement.
