Afazi; beynin dil ve konuşma görevlerini yürüten bölgelerinin tamamında veya bir kısmında görülen, fiziksel bir hasar ya da felç sonucunda ortaya çıkan dil ve konuşma bozuklugu olarak tanımlanır.

Endofazi; kendi kendine, dış sese ya da görselliğe dönüştürülmeyen (iç dil), zihinsel iç konuşma süreci olarak tanımlanır.

transmedia performance that tells the story of the transformation of the human brain by simultaneously using sound and visuals, brings the struggle of an aphasic individual with their inner speech and language barriers to the stage by combining contemporary art and advanced technology. Supported by new media tools and machine learning-based language models, it opens a discussion on the concepts of language and expression in the context of performance art, focusing on movement and time, through the power of art and technology.
ENDOPHASIA is based on the recovery process of Sinan Uygun, an individual who continued his life with partial paralysis and aphasia after a brain hemorrhage in 2010, through specialized language and speech exercises involving artificial intelligence technologies and interdisciplinary art activities. The performance, which meticulously documents Sinan Uygun's progress through physical and verbal exercises such as mirroring, repetition-based mimicry, motor movements, and word production under the supervision of his daughter Gökçe Uygun, and through language-based artificial intelligence applications, offers a live experience of how the human brain and speech center work.

ENDOPHASIA, which begins with dialogues between performer Selim Cizdan and Sinan Uygun, continues with the creation of a digital copy of Uygun on stage using visual and auditory elements. The project, whose artistic process is also documented with a documentary film, concretely demonstrates different phases of individual and mutual communication.

Images used in the performance may trigger seizures (epilepsy) due to light, sound, or movement stimulation.
